Using pictures and signs help both the teacher and the student to teach and learn the language easily. The other thing can be used is to use the second language continuously so that the practice of the second language becomes continuous.  Games like making words from alphabets also help in increasing vocabulary. Word cards and picture cards are very helpful at the initial stage of language learning. It helps in memorizing the name of the objects and use them in sentences.
