Once upon a time, in a village far away, there was a dog who was very hungry. He went to the butcher shop and saw all the delicious cuts of meat hanging there.
When the butcher was busy packing meat for a customer, he immediately stole a chunk of meat and ran away. He ran away as fast as he could and soon reached a river.
He was very tired and wanted to take a drink but was reluctant to drop the meat. He looked into the river and saw his own reflection and thought it was another dog underwater with a juicy piece of meat in his mouth.
Feeling greedy, he decided to bark at the dog and grab that piece too. When he opened his mouth to bark at him, the meat fell from his mouth into the river and was lost forever.
