"Alone"
It was a dull gloomy day. It was 6pm. I had left the office earlier that day and was headed home. Autumn had started to show it's colours on the trees. The fading sunlight complimented them giving an entire palette of shades thrown across the sky.
When I entered my flat, the calmness of the sunset had vanished into that tiny dark room. Suddenly I heard a creak near the window. The voice continued for a few seconds until it stopped completely. When I managed to open the window with my shaky hands, I found a pigeon laying it's nest beside the window on the roof.
Sighing in relief I thought to myself "Living alone definitely takes a toll on the mind".
