Good morning everyone. I am going to express my views ‘Development of nation should be given priority over defense’; and I am going to speak in favor of it.

Development of a nation should indeed be given priority and all the other secondary things will automatically follow. I would like to support it with the following arguments:

National development means a very strong economy. It means boom of economical activities in the country; it means the national coffers have enough and surplus money which can be invested on all the other essential projects such as huge spending on defense and research projects.

Let me bring this fact to my knowledgeable audiences’ that all the advanced nations such as America, France, Israel, Russia, China, Japan, South Korea, etc. became developed first; the advancement in defense  followed naturally. America, the most advanced nation in defense, had plenty of surplus money to invest in defense projects. It possess all the most advanced weapons. Fifth generation fighter jets F-22 Raptor, F-35, colossal Carrier Ships, Stealth Submarines, air-defense THAAD, etc. could be possible only after development.

So if any nation in the world wants to be very advanced in defense, she must be exceedingly developed. She must have a strong economy.

Development of nation should be given priority over defence, I would like to state my views in favour of it as being a developing country we are not in the state that we can spend too much on our defences. Our first priority at this stage must be to develop our country not to spend too much on defence. Other countries who are developed spend their money on defence.
