Over about a 24 hour period, thetadpole develops into a frog. This means almost every organ has to change so the tadpole can go from living underwater to living on land as an adult frog. In this picture you can see the tadpole has started to grow hind legs.

Tadpoles hatch from the eggs and live in the pond. The tadpoles turn into Froglets. The body shrinks and legs form. The Froglet's tail shrinks, the lungs develop and the back legs grow and then we have a Frog.
