Deviation of a thin prism of refractive index n and angle of prism A is given by,\delta=(\eta-1)A

where \delta denotes deviation angle of thin prism , \eta denotes refractive index of prism with respect to medium and A denotes angle of prism.

here you should remember that, above formula is applicable only when angle of prism less than 10° e.g., A < 10°

otherwise you must apply regular concept. e.g., \delta=i+i'-(r+r') and (r+r')=A for better understanding see figure.
