Devide 75 into two parts so that one part is less other by 13

let the 1st part is x
then    2nd part = x-13
A/Q,
          (x) + (x-13) = 75
or,       2x =  75 +13
or,        2x  =  88
or,   x = 88/2 = 44
therefore part are 44 and 44-13 = 31

x and x-13 may be the 2 parts  then 
2x = 75+13=88
thenx = 88/2
=44 
=44-13
=31
