Dhruvika invested money from May 2016 to April 2018 at a rate of 12% per annum. If the interest received by her is ₹1,680, how much money did she invest?

Solution:

Let the principal be = P

Interest = 1680

Time = 2 years and Rate = 12%

Applying the formula -

SI = PRT/100

Therefore,

1680 = P x 12 x 2 / 100

P = 1680 x 100/24

P = 168000/24

P = 7000

Ans: Thus, the total amount invested is Rs. 7000.
