The diabetes is caused due to the insulin deficiency.
Insulin coverts glucose into glycogen and when there is no insulin the glucose accumulate in our which leads diabetes.
Glucose I.e C6 H12 O6 which is nothing but sugar is converted into glycogen and stored into our body for further use if such process doesn't take place properly than such condition is called diabetes.
