Diagonal of square = root 2 × side

20= root 2 side

side = 20/ root2

=20×root2/ root 2 × root 2

i.e.rationalizing it

=20 root 2/ 2

side= 10 root 2

area of square = side^2

= (10 root 2)^2

=100×2

=200 cm square
