Answer:

The diagonals of a rhombus are in the ratio 3:4. If the perimeter is 40 what are the lengths of the sides and its diagonals of rhombus?

Each side of the rhombus = 40/4 = 10.

The 4 right angled triangles which form the rhombus have their hypotenuse as 10 and the other two sides in the ratio of 3:4. Hence the two sides are 6 and 8 so that [6^2+8^2]^0.5 = 10.

So the diagonals of the rhombus are 12 and 16 and each side is 10 units.

The area of the rhombus = 12*16/2 = 96 sq units.
