Answer:

5 is added to 100 observations each.  

So =500=(5×100) is added.  

Then divided by 100. ie 5.  

So mean increases by 5 to become 55.

S.D will remain same because every observation increased by 5 and mean also increased by 5.  

( standard deviation is the squareroot of the difference of mean and each observation divided by the number of observations )
