IDENTIFICATION :

The given diagram is an astronomical telescope in normal adjustment.

WORKING:

When a parallel beam of light is incident on the objective, it forms a real, inverted and diminished image. The eyepiece is adjusted such that the image lies exactly at its focus. Final image is formed at infinity.
