This is targeted to mitigate child marriage and allows to continue studies of the girls in schools and other educational institutions.

Teacher: Hello students, how are you? Why Nandhini is absent today?
Student (Nandhini’s friend): Madam, Today Nandhini is getting engaged to her uncle. So she is absent. She wants to continue her studies but her family situation is not letting her to study.’
Teacher: Oh no! There is a scheme called Kanyashree prakalpa established by the government to help girls in their education.
Student: Madam, what are the eligibilities and procedures to apply for that scheme?
Teacher: This scheme is initiated by the government to stop child marriages. The government will provide a scholar ship of Rs.750 annually to the girls between the ages 13-18 years who wants to continue their studies. Their parent’s annual income must be below Rs. 1.2lakh. If the girl continues her studies till 18years, then the government will deposit a sum of Rs.25, 000 in her bank account.
Student: Ok madam.
