Dramatic monologue : A poem in which a single speaker who is not the poet talks, as in a play, to an internal silent audience and sometimes also performs actions.
Soliloquy : Meaning 'talking to oneself' , a soliloquy is a device to communicate a thought process or how they are feeling to the audience by thinking out loud.
Irony : The device of irony is a kind of division or conflict by definition, as it depends on the opposition of alternative meanings.
Simile : Direct or explicit comparison between two different objects.
Metaphor : Indirect or implicit comparison between two different objects.
Hyperbole : Deliberate exaggeration.
