Rizwan: – Here is a puzzle for you, Mr. Ali. Would you like to be a sickly rich man or a healthy poor man?

Ali: – It is not at all so easy to answer this question. Both health and wealth are equally desirable.

Rizwan: – What I mean to say is that if you asked to choose between the two, which one will you prefer?

Ali: – There may be many people in this world who are quite ready to vote for wealth; but I, for one, would prefer health to wealth.

Rizwan: – Is there any sense in saying such a silly thing? Don’t you know that “money makes the mare go”.

Ali: – My words are full of wisdom. Money can’t buy everything. A healthy person is rich in the real sense of the word, because “health is wealth”.

Rizwan: – Perhaps you do not remember that a rich person can buy very costly medicines, if he is ill. He can easily pay the fee of any specialist he likes. But a poor man cannot even afford to go to an ordinary doctor.

Ali: – Poor people seldom fall ill. They work hard to earn their living. Hard work exercises their limbs, and exercise keeps them quite fit and happy.

Rizwan: – The rich enjoy life by living in decent houses, wearing fine clothes, eating, many delicious things and moving about in motor-cars.

Ali: – The rich enjoy life, only if they are healthy. But a healthy poor man is certainly happier than a rich man who is in a bad state of health.

Rizwan: – Then what’s your final decision Mr. Ali?

Ali: – My final decision is that health is a thousand times better than wealth. It’s easy to live without wealth. But wealth cannot buy health. Both are blessings of God. But I think health to be the better of the two.
