  • Radius = d/2 = 10/2 = 5cm
  • Area = πr² = 22/7 ×(5)² = 3.14 × 25 = 78.5cm²

As per given information,

Diameter of Circle is 10 cm.

To find out the Area of circle.

Solution -

As we know that,

Radius is half of diameter.

Radius =  \frac{diameter}{2}

Radius =  \frac{10}{2}

Radius = 5

Radius(r) is 5 cm.

Area of circle = \pi {r}^{2}

put the value of r and π

π=3.14

Area of circle = 3.14 \times  {5}^{2}

Square means multiply the given values with itself twice.

square of 5 is 25.

Area of circle = 3.14 \times 25

Area of circle = 78.5

Hence,

Area of circle is 78.5  {cm}^{2}
