Answer:

Radius of the circle =  \frac{35}{10} \times \frac{1}{2}

 = \frac{7}{4}

Area of the circle =\pi {r}^{2}

 = \frac{22}{7} \times { \frac{7}{4} }^{2}

 = \frac{77}{8}

= 9.62500

Answer:

Area of circle is

9.62 {cm}^{2}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that

Diameter of circle is 3.5cm.

To calculate

Area of circle

Solution

As we know that

area \: of \: circle = \pi \times  {radius}^{2}

As here diameter is given and we know that radius is always half of its diameter hence

radius =  \frac{3.5}{2}

hence

radius = 1.75cm

hence

area \: of \: circle = \pi \times  {1.75}^{2}

put

\pi =  \frac{22}{7}

area \: of \: circle =  \frac{22}{7}  \times 1.75*1.75

hence by multiplication and division we get

area \: of \: circle = 9.62 {cm}^{2}
