Given:-

  • Diameter of a wheel = 70 cm
  • No. of revolutions completed by a wheel = 24

To find:-

  • Find the distance covered by the wheel ?

Solution:-

The diameter of the wheel is 70 cm.

=> diameter/2

=> 70/2

=> 35 cm.

  • Radius = 35cm.

We know that,

The circumference of the wheel = 2πr

According to question:-

=> 2 × π × r

=> 2 × 22/7 × 35

=> 2 × 22 × 5

=> 220cm

The distance covered by the wheel.

=> No. of revelation = distance/circumference

=> 24 = distance/220

=> distance = 220 × 24

=> distance = 5280cm

Hence, the distance covered by the wheel is 5280 cm.

Some Important:-

Speed, Time and Distance:

  • Speed = Distance/Time
  • Time = Distance/speed
  • Distance = Speed × Time

km/hr to m/sec conversion:

  • x km/hr = x × 5/18 m/sec.

m/sec to km/hr conversion:

  • x m/sec = x × 18/5 km/hr.
