GIVEN :-

  • Diameter of cylinder , d = 18.5 cm.
  • Height of cylinder , h = 6.1 m.

TO FIND :-

  • Surface area of Cylinder.

SOLUTION :-

 :  \implies \displaystyle\sf \:diameter\:  (d)= 18.5m \\  \\  \\

 :  \implies \displaystyle\sf \:diameter \:  (d)= \frac{18.5}{100}  \\  \\  \\

:  \implies \underline{ \boxed{ \displaystyle\sf \:diameter \:  (d) \approx \: 0.18 \: m}} \\  \\

 \underline{\boldsymbol{According\: to \:the\: Question\::}} \\

 \dashrightarrow\displaystyle\sf \: surface \: Area_{(Cylinder)} \:  = 2\pi rh + 2\pi r ^{2}  \\  \\  \\

\dashrightarrow\displaystyle\sf \: surface \: Area_{(Cylinder)} \:  = 2\pi r(h + r) \\  \\  \\

\dashrightarrow\displaystyle\sf \: surface \: Area_{(Cylinder)} \:  = 2\pi \frac{d}{2}  \bigg(h +  \frac{d}{2}  \bigg) \\  \\  \\

\dashrightarrow\displaystyle\sf \: surface \: Area_{(Cylinder)} \:  = 2 \times 3.14 \times  \dfrac{0.18}{2} \bigg(6.1 +  \frac{0.18}{2}  \bigg) \\  \\  \\

\dashrightarrow\displaystyle\sf \: surface \: Area_{(Cylinder)} \:  = 6.28 \times 0.09 \bigg( \frac{12.2 + 0.18}{2}  \bigg) \\  \\  \\

\dashrightarrow\displaystyle\sf \: surface \: Area_{(Cylinder)} \:  = 0.562 \bigg( \frac{12.38}{2}  \bigg) \\  \\  \\

\dashrightarrow\displaystyle\sf \: surface \: Area_{(Cylinder)} \:  = 0.562 \times 6.28 \\  \\  \\

Question :-

Diameter of the cylinder is 18.5 cm and it's length id 6.1 m . Find the Surface Area of Cylinder .

ANsWeR :-

Given :-

Length of Cylinder => 6.1 m

Diameter of Cylinder => 18.5 cm

Converting CentiMeter into Meter

Diameter => 18.5 = 18.5/100 = 0.18 m

To find :-

The surface area of cylinder .

Solution :-

Surface Area of Cylinder => 2πr ( h + r )

=> 2 × 3.14 × 18.5/2 ( 6.1 × 18.5/2 )

=> 6.28 × 0.09 ( 12.2 + 0.18/2 )

=> 0.562 ( 12.38/2 )

=> 0.562 × 6.28

=> 3.52 m

Hence , the Surface Area of Cylinder is 3.52 m
