Dear Diary


Today the day came for what I have been waiting for. Today the running race competition was held in school. As you know I have been practicing for it for weeks, so, I have hoped that I would win this competition and give a proud feeling to my parents. But this was not written in my fate. Just when I was so close to the final laps, my friend had overtaken me and I stood second in the race. I didn't know what to do. Whether I should be happy at my friend's win or I should be sad at my loss. Forgetting my loss, I moved toward my friend and wished him for his win. However, a feeling comes in mind when you are so close to catch your dream but at the eleventh hour the dream breaks. But this is not the end. The next time when there will be a race, I would be the one who will bag the first prize. Till then, I will practice harder and harder and achieve what I can.
