Today, I am feeling very pleased and proud. I thank the day when I learned swimming. I never knew my swimming skills can save someone’s life one day. I was walking around the local lake for enjoying the cool breeze. Suddenly I realized that someone was drowning there in the lake. I was perplexed that no one came forward to help her but instead, they started recording the incident on their phone. Without thinking much, I quickly came into action and jumped into the lake. When I drew nearer, I realized that the water had high current but the little girl somehow managed to stay in one place. I carefully got hold of her shirt’s collar and pulled her to the shore with the help of other people who also came after seeing me. At the same time, even the police and her parents arrived. Her parents thanked me heartily and I was happy that I could save a life.
