Last Friday,we went to an old age home with our teachers. There,we met many old people who related the stories of their lives. When we asked an old man about his life story,he cried and told us that though he had sacrificed everything for his children,they threw him in an old-age home. He said they dont even visit him anymore. In the old-age home,there was a Gurudwara where residents of the home worshiped. We also went there and prayed to God. After that,we gave them articles for daily use. They were very happy to see the gifts. They blessed us,and we promised that we will come again to meet them. Now,it was time for departure. They were very sad that we are going. We learnt a lesson that day,which was to treat the aged with love and affection. Every person,who puts a parent in a home for the aged,should ask himself how he would feel if his children did the same to him when he became old.
