A P J Abdul Kalam grew up with friends who came from staunch Hindu families, but the families had no religious obstacles that their son would not mix with a Muslim boy.
In fact, his two best friends were Hindu.
One day a new teacher came in class and said Kalam with his cap on his head seating with two Hindu boys.
The new teacher asked Kalam to go to the last bench and avoid sitting to a Hindu boy wearing a sacred thread.
