What a way to start my New Year. I was so happy when dad called me and handed me a copy of Gandhiji’s, 'An Experiment with Truth’. Handing it to me dad said, ‘ Beti, I want you to read this book and emulate all the good qualities of this great human being.’
I was so excited to receive this as a gift as I wanted to buy this. Dad and I had started this ritual of discussing great books, autobiographies and any other books that we had read, during daily walks.
He had discussed this book with me and had promised to get me a copy when I elicited interest. But, both of us had forgotten about it.
Now, when dad gave it to me, I was happy, he remembered. I should start reading it as soon as I finish my school work.
