Yes it did!

We see direct evidence in the form of coins and other things like that. Secondly,in the age of Antiquity and before,borders and religions/ethnicities were not defined as rigidly as it is now. Our present World setup comes from Mediaeval era. There was a free exchange between a lot of kingdoms from as far as Central Asia and Russian Steppes to the Middle East,Egypt and Southern Europe(Greeks) at that time. So there was a steady exchange of people,ideas and commercial goods between all those Empires! Going by the DNA and bio sociology,this is all proved undoubtedly.

So yes!!!!
