in this question, they have given the

area of the circle (  area = 38.5cm²  )

now, they are asking to find the circumference

the boundary of a circle is known as its circumference 

circumference formula = 2πr ( π = 22/7 )

cmnt below if u have any doubt 

here's ur answer 

A = πr² = 38.5 
C = 2πr = ? 

πr² = 38.5 
2πr² = 77 
r² = 77/2π 
r² = (77x7)/(2x22) (π= 22/7) 

so, r² = (7x7)/(2x2) 

∴ r = 7/2 

∴ 2πr = 2 x 22/7 x 7/2 

which is exactly equal to 22 cm
