The doctor found his encounter with the snake ghastly and frightening. He was in complete shock at the sight of the snake and was completely frozen when the snake coiled around his arm. He did not move or shout, which was a good thing to do at such a situation. The aspects of human nature revealed here is that, no matter what, humans are timid and scared when danger comes to close to them. Even if they say that they arent scared of anything, the real nervousness inside them opens up when everything actually occurs and not by a potential thinking.
