no no it did not involve all the sections of the society
during the first war of independence only the people who were against the britishers just fought against them like the people of bengal ,north and central india participated.Maharajas of many provinces didnt.
now as we gained momentum we every section of the society took place like in subhash chandra bose INA there was captin laxmi swaminathan and in non cooperation movement there was the first involvement of women because gandhi ji did a lot for them
after the non cooperation civil disobedience movement and quit india movement we all can say that most of the sections of society were in play.

The National movement in india was aimed at freeing india from colonialism. it was lead by the congress particularly its major leader Mahatma Gandhi the movement saw people coming on streets protesting . holding strikes, rallies, picketing liquir shops burning foreign clothes and even went to jail many people lost their lives while serving the nation. The major communities which participated in this movement were rich peasantry, bussiness class, workers, poor peasants and even woman. However the muslims and untouchables did not participate also the movement was limited to north and western india southern and north eastern parts were not much involved
