Rowlatt Act, 1919 – Jallianwala Bagh Massacre – Khilafat Movement – Non Cooperation Movement. In 1919, a newAct was passed by the British Government to give themselves greater power over the people. ... This however did not greatly affect the British as they were still able to keep control over the people.

Explanation:
- Yes the Rowlatt Act came to an end. The Rowlatt Acts legislation was passed in February 1919 by the Imperial Legislative Council by the British Indian parliament to give the British higher power over other people. The act came to an end, since the act allowed some political cases to be tried without juries. It also allowed the government to jail anyone without trial in India.
- The Acts, however, were never implemented.
- First, because, all non-official members of the council were against it. Mahatma Gandhi, on the other hand, organized protests & called for a Hartal (a period of fasting and suspension of work), which led to the April 1919 Massacre of Amritsar.
- The people of India also strongly resisted since it gave the British government more authority over them.
