The 'battle Plassey' got its name as this battle happened at a place called 'Palashi'.

EXPLANATION:

This Battle was the 'result of the struggle' of the "Nawab Sirajuddaula" of Bengal and 'East India Company'. This war took place in '1757 AD'. In this war, on one side there was the army of the 'British East India Company', and on the other hand, the army of the 'Nawab of Bengal'.

The company's army defeated Nawab Sirajuddaula under the leadership of Robert Clive. This war is considered to be very unfortunate for India as the war begins the story of India's slavery.
