Solutions :-

Let the present age of C be x
Age of B = 2x
Age of A = 2x + 5
Age of D = 2(2x) + 8

Given : Age of D = 48 years

According to the question,

=> 2(2x) + 8 = 48
=> 4x + 8 = 48
=> 4x = 48 - 8
=> x = 40/4 = 10

Therefore,
Age of A = 2x + 5= 2 × 10 + 5 = 25 years
Age of B = 2x = 2 × 10 = 20 years
Age of C = x = 10 years

The present ages of A, B and C are 25 years, 20 years and 10 years respectively.
