Let the number of flowers

Given ratio is 2:5.

Given that the remaining flowers = 2x   ------- (1)

the total flowers = 5x.    ------- (2)

i.e 5x = 30

       x = 6

Substitute x in (1), we get remaining flowers = 2 * 6 = 12.

Numbers of flowers offered by him in the temple = 30 - 12

                                                                                   = 18.

Hope this helps!
