Initially the loaf of bread was 65 centimeters long.

Everyday he cuts 15 centimeters of bread for his sandwich. He wants to know the length of the loaf of bread, l, after d, days.

If he cuts 15 centimeters everyday then he will have cut 15 \times d=15d centimeters of bread after 'd' days.

So the length 'l' after 'd' days is given by:

l=65-15\times d=65-15d

So the equation to represent the length of the bread loaf after d days is:

l=65-15d.

The graph of the function is continuous  because for a function to be discrete the values belonging to a set should be distinct and separate.
