Diesel engines are best suited for heavy veHoles.why?

The expectation from heavy vehicle are that, that can carry high loads ,the speed is not much concerned .

The diesel engines provides the higher torque and less speed so that they can fulfill is application .

So the diesel engines are used in heavy vehicles .
