Chemical weathering :-

• It involves a reaction of substances . Such as an acid ,to the minerals that make up the rocks .
• oxygen in air may also cause chemical weathering when it intracts with iron in soil. Iron oxide or rust is formed .

Machanical weathering:-

• Machanical weathering is the breaking down of rocks into smaller pieces by physical means only.
• Occurs when agents such as animal ,plants ,water, winds and people break rocks phisycally into pieces .
