parenchyma consist of living cells. It has intercellular space. It's cell wall is thin. It's cell contain cytoplasm. It has vital functions. Collenchyma consist of living cells. Intercellular spaces may or may not be present. It's cell wall is thick. It's cell contain cytoplasm. They have both vital and mechanical functions. Sclerenchyma consist of dead cells. Intercellular space is absent. Cell wall is thick. It's cells are devoid of cytoplasm. It is chiefly a mechanical tissue.
