\sf\large{Absorption\:!!}

The process by which diffusible nutrients pass through the Alimentary canal's wall (especially small intestine) into blood or lymph.

★It involves both Physical process (e.g., diffusion, osmosis, etc.) and active processes (e.g., active transport of glucose, amino acids, etc).

\sf\large{Assimilation\:!!}

It is an Anabolic Process by which simple nutrients are metabolised to resynthesize the complex macro-biomolecules like Proteins, Polysaccharides, fats, etc.

★It Occurs inside the cells. The Synthesized macro-biomolecules help in growth and repair of the body tissues.
