Communicable Diseases

・They are caused by pathogens .

・External factors are responsible for these diseases .

・They can spread from diseased person to healthy person .

・Transmission occurs through direct contact or some medium .

Ex - Cholera , Chicken pox , Tuberculosis etc.

Non- Communicable Diseases

・They are not caused by pathogens .

・Internal factors are responsible for these diseases .

・They cannot pass from one person to another .

・There is no transmission . Hereditary Diseases are transmitted from parents to offsprings .

Ex - Diabetes , Cancer , Scurvy etc .
