An obvious difference would be the difference in time. The Russian Revolution occurred more than a century after the Revolution in France, which was part of an "Age of Revolutions" that included the American and the Haitian Revolutions. Another would be that the first wave of the French Revolution attempted to establish a constitutional monarchy.
