bony fish has bony endoskeleton and cartilagous fish has cartilagous endoskeleton.

1. cartilaginous fishes are those fishes whose skeleton is made of cartilage .

examples are Sharks, dogfishes and skates .

2. Bony fishes are those whose skeleton is made of bones .

examples are
