the novels which tell the story through letters that can either be personal or official is called epistolary.e.g: Pamela
the novels published in the magazines are serialised,they contain each chapter in their issue.e.g: Pickwick papers by Charles Dickens

Epistolary:-
1) It used the private and personal form of letters to tell the story.
2) It allowed the reader to relish the stories at a time.
3) These novels are expensive.
4) Often it did not have illustrations.

Serialized:-
1) It told the stories in prose.
2) It allowed the reader to relish the suspense, discuss the characters of novel and live for weeks with their stories.
3) Magazines were cheap which published the novels.
4) These novels have colorful illustrations.
