1. in dc current the electric charge flows in one direction only whereas in ac current the electric charge changes direction periodically.
2. dc provides a constant voltage whereas in ac the voltage reverses with the flow of current.
3. chemical reaction inside batteries generate dc current whereas ac current is generated from a device called alternator.
4. electrons move steadily in one direction in dc current whereas in ac the electrons move forward and backward.
5. frequency of dc is zero while frequency of ac is 50Hz or 60Hz depending upon the country.
6. voltage of dc cannot travel long distance but ac can flow and travel long distance without kosong charge.
