Hey buddy
here is your answer
acid is a substance that donates hydrogen ions. ...
When a base is dissolved in water, the balance between hydrogen ions and hydroxide ions shifts the opposite way.
Because the base"soaks up" hydrogen ions, the result is a solution with more hydroxide ions than hydrogen ions.

Hey Guys,
ACIDS :- 1) They releases (H+) ions in water .
2) They are sour in taste.
3) They turn blue litmus to red .
4) ph of strong acids is between 1 to 3 .
5) Example :- HCl , H2SO4 etc.
BASES :- 1) They release (OH-) ions in water .
2) They are bitter in taste .
3)They turn red litmus to Blue .
4)ph of Strong Bases is between 11 to 14.
5) Example :- NaOH etc.
Thanks.
