Poster paints are water based like watercolor only thicker acrylic paints have a plastic polymer base .both dry quickly.acrylics can be used as thickly as oil paints or like watercolor
where as poster paints have a more even consistency's.acrylics can be used on canvas
like oil and poster paints is used on paper .poster paints is often used by children in school .postee paint can be removed where acrylic paints,once its dries ,is permanent.
