Ex: C6H12O6 + 6 O2     =>   6CO2 + 6H2O + ENERGY

Anaerobic respiration: It is the process of breakdown of food that occurs without the help of oxygen.

Ex: C6H12O6   => 2C2H5OH + 2CO2 +ENERGY
