difference between alpha and beta testing

Alpha test and beta test are for software testing.
Their difference :
Alpha test is conducted before beta test which is the first phase tested by a team of professional testers of the organisation.
Whereas beta test isn't done by professionals and it's taken after the alpha test for the software testing.
