Answer:

Aerobic respiration

•Takes place in the presence of oxygen

•Occurs in mitochondria

•End product are CO2 and H2O

•More amount of energy is released

Anaerobic Respiration

•Takes place in the absence of oxygen

•Occurs in cytoplasm

•End products are alcohol or lactic acid

•Less amount of energy is released

The difference between aerobic and anaerobic respiration are :-

1. The respiration which takes place in presence of oxygen is known as aerobic respiration whereas the respiration which takes place in absent of oxygen is known as anareobic respiration.

2. In the aerobic complete broke down of glucose takes place whereas incomplete broke down takes place in case of anaerobic respiration.

3. More energy produce in case of aerobic respiration but less energy produce in case of anaerobic respiration.

4. The product of aerobic respiration is carbondioxide whereas the product of anaerobic respiration is ethanol.

5. Aerobic Occurs in mitochondria of a cell but anaerobic occurs in cytoplasm of a cell.
