Electroplating involves using electricity to reduce a metal salt out from solution and deposit it in metallic form onto a surface, Rich. Usually the metal which is being plated is different than the metal of the substrate.

Anodizing is an electricity-driven engineered oxidation or 'rusting' (although the word 'rusting' really should only be used with reference to ferrous metals). By causing certain metals to oxidize in controlled fashion (usually aluminum, magnesium, or titanium), it is possible to cover their surface with a tightly adherent oxide to prevent further corrosion.

The origin of the confusion may be that the processes are done in tanks in a very similar fashion, often by the same shop, and from a distance they look like very similar operations.

Ans: Galvanization: The process of coating Zinc layer on substances made copper or steel or other metals, which gets corrosion when exposed moist air for long time is called galvanization. Using galvanization process prevention of corrosion is possible on the metal surface. Ex: Iron Bridge can be protected from rusting by galvanizing the iron using zinc protects. Electroplating: It is the most common application of the chemical effect of electric current is electroplating. Electroplating is done in industries to have an anti-reactive coating on the parts of machines so that they do not react with the raw material, to have an anti-corrosive coating for the machines so that they do not get corroded, and a heat-resistive coating for parts like boilers to resist the heat produced by the machinery. Gold plating is one of the most common applications of electroplating in ornament-making. In electroplating, the solution gets dissociated into its respective ions. The positive ions are called cations, and the negative ions are called anions. The current in the solution is due to the flow of these ions. The anions move towards the anode, and the cations move towards the cathode. The cations are converted into atoms at the cathode and form a layer on it, called as electroplating. The process of electroplating is used for plating parts of vehicles with Nickel and Chromium, which protects them from corrosion.

Galvanisation is the method of protecting steel and iron from rusting by coating them with a thin layer of zinc. The galvanized article is protected against rusting even if the zinc coating is broken.
Anodising is a very good method of improving the properties of a metal.
Electroplating is the method of covering the layers of metals by the thin layers of oxides by electrolysis.
Hope this helps huh!
