Mass of an atom refers to mass of the particular atom of an element.
For example ;
Calcium - mass of the atom is 40


Atomic mass of an element refers to the mass of the entire element.
For example ;
H2O - its mass of the element is 18
Whereas the mass of the atom of H2O is different.
Mass of H2 is 2
And Oxygen is 16.
